Our pergafilm® brand offers application solutions for industrial processing. These are based on selected polyethylene raw materials and appropriate processing technologies designed to ensure consistent material quality and reproducible processes. Depending on the application, different types of PE are used, particularly PE-HD. This material is characterized by high mechanical strength, material-saving film thicknesses – achievable starting at just 6 µm – good resistance to chemical influences, and stable performance under varying environmental conditions. PE-based blown films can be manufactured in application-specific thicknesses and enable consistent processing. The material’s inherent properties support consistent processability in industrial processes.
In the coextrusion process, different polyethylene layers are combined to create multilayer structures. This allows material properties to be specifically tailored to the respective application. Additionally, the use of PE-HD enables a reduction in material thickness while maintaining consistent functional properties, depending on the specific specification. All polyethylene raw materials used are – depending on their design – suitable for applications involving food contact.

We produce mono- and co-extruded films made of PE-HD, PE-LD, and other polyethylenes for food and non-food applications in a wide variety of formats and designs, and print them individually with up to 8 colors – exactly as you wish.

The foundation for
stable and reliable processes
pergafilm® is based on polyethylene, specifically PE-HD (high-density polyethylene), a thermoplastic with stable mechanical and processing properties.
PE-HD is suitable for industrial applications that require durability, dimensional stability, and reliable performance during processing – even at low temperatures or under varying operating conditions. Typical material properties include high toughness, good stiffness, and low water vapor permeability. As a result, the material remains dimensionally stable and easy to process even under demanding conditions. In industrial use, PE-HD exhibits reliable processing behavior and integrates well into existing production processes. Depending on the specification, the material is suitable for food-contact applications and is manufactured from single-grade polyethylene structures that can support material recycling.
